Company profile

Westland Boats (formerly named Westland Marine) is a Dutch company founded in 1976 acting as Benelux agents for the U.K. based Oyster Marine Ltd. selling Holman & Pye designed UFO’s and Oysters in the Benelux.

From 1986 onwards Westland Boats became sole Benelux agents for U.K. Hunter Boats Ltd.

In 2002 we moved our office from Maassluis to Terneuzen.

Our current activities are following :

1. Building of the "Gran Turismo" series, custom built performance cruisers

Our series of GT yachts consist of the Gran Turismo 33, 40, 36 and 80 with additional proposals on the drawing board

2. Sales and customising of plywood and composite built sailing yachts

A small series of chine built and composite yachts 

3. Survey services for British sailing yachts including expert advice on British Hunter yachts

Due to our history and experience we are very well involved in the British boatbuilding industry. For this reason we can offer survey services and advise on the purchase, maintenance or problem solving of nearly all British built yachts, old or new.

Due to our long history with British Hunter Boats, we are especially knowledgeable on these yachts

4. Consultancy, design service, modifications and project management for sailing- and motoryachts

Due to our connections with designers, builders and suppliers to the marine industry, we are in an excellent position to advise on yachtbuilding projects, whether for new yachts or modifications on existing yachts.

This is also valid for (complicated) repairs on grp or composite yachts.

Many people make the classic mistake to handle project management themselves .

Experience has shown, that, in the end, this costs more than it saves and one often ends up with a yacht that does not satisfy the new owner for 100 %.

Our project team can handle this for you at very reasonable fees.

5. Buying, refitting and selling of used grp Optimists

 A new activity based on the highly popular International  Optimist dinghy
